THE FORMAT I.MA.G.E.
I.MA.G.E. is the format of meetings on Green Economy Management conceived by Studio Greengrass in 2011 and edited, in terms of contents, by the Green commerce Association and Greennews.info.
AL Annual Workshop, since 2017 IMAG-E tour, a tourist, food and wine and cultural itinerary between the UNESCO territories of Langhe Roero Monferrato and Turin, reserved only for electric vehicles (cars, motorcycles, scooters, bicycles, etc.) to raise awareness of businesses, citizens and public administrations on the economic, environmental and health benefits of a transition to forms of mobility.
IMAG-E TOUR 2020: POINTS FOR THE “RESTART”
The first half of 2020 was heavily marked by an exceptional event such as the Covid-19 pandemic, which offers some ideas for the “restart” at the territorial level:
- It is important to support the revival of tourism, trade, crafts, and agriculture, especially in their more “sustainable” forms.
- A fundamental axis such as the Alba-Turin one, already subject to a 2017 memorandum of understanding between the respective mayors and tourism bodies, should be enhanced.
- The transition to the green economy and sustainable mobility is even more urgent today.
THE IMAG-E TOUR WEEKEND FORMULA
- FRIDAY:meeting at the end of the day in Guarene (Roero), the operational headquarters of the Association, and networking dinner
- SATURDAY: departure of electric vehicles from Guarene / Alba and tour of Roero and Langhe with meals and overnight stay in structures selected by Green commerce and responsible shopping “along the way …
- SUNDAY: crossing and stage in Monferrato, arrival in Turin in the afternoon. Final parade of vehicles through the streets of the centre and final “green” aperitif.
IMAG-E TOUR 2020: DATE + CONCEPT
In the first days of October 2020 Turin and Alba will host the first two “major events” of the year::
- 90th International Alba White Truffle Fair, from 10 October to 8 December 2020
- 13th Terra Madre & Salone del Gusto in Turin, from 8 October 2020 for 6 months
IMAG-E tour 2020 therefore takes place on the weekend 9-11 October (Friday-Sunday) to symbolically “unite” the two events with its caravan of electric vehicles, in the sign of the relaunch of sustainable food and wine tourism, attentive to the enhancement of the territories and of the landscapes of Piedmont, but also of small traders, shops and the reality of artisan excellence, which constitute a precious cultural and economic resource of the region and of the whole of Italy.
